Armstrong Property Management has been owned and operated by Jim Armstrong since August 1979. Jim was born and raised in the central valley and has dedicated valuable time serving his community in many areas, such as coaching youth softball, serving on the Parks and Recreation Committee, and serving on the Planning Commission.
Jim Armstrong started out specializing in the brokerage of small income properties, primarily apartments. The property management business began as a result of these transactions and within a few years, the business grew to such an extent that it had to be dealt with in a more sophisticated and organized manner.
Extensive research was conducted into property management and association management procedures and systems both locally, and throughout the state. Various accounting systems and formats were scrutinized in great detail.
Armstrong Property Management became a d.b.a. of JAPM INC., in 1987, with Jim Armstrong as the President and CEO, as he is today. Jim Armstrong also became a Certified Property Manager® through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1992 and a Certified Community Association Manager® in 2004 through the California Association of Community Managers.
Over the years, Armstrong Property Management has grown to include a staff of 12 highly trained office personnel and 5 maintenance personnel with offices in Visalia and Arroyo Grande, CA.
